Rectangular black ash splint basket with split rim, single lashing. Half-round rim. Splint may have been stained or washed in a warm chestnut color. 1" wide uprights, 1/4" wide weavers. Plain weave, with distinct grain marks visible. 3/8" wide, 3/8" thick double grip "ear" handles, double-notched, attach to the exterior on each end.
