Description

Section of peg rail with four pegs. Rail is of white pine with beaded arrises on the front. One end cut square, other end has rounded taper. Pegs are all different, three with threaded tenons, one with rounded tenon whittled down for a jam fit. Two pegs are between-centers turned maple, one of birch, and one (jam fit) of cherry. Rail is colored - may have been washed with yellow paint or stained yellow-brown.
