Measure with pine bottom, steam-bent red oak side band and rim, and an iron or steel reinforcing band around outside of bottom. Both the ends of the band and rim are feathered, overlapped, and secured with iron tacks. the bottom is held by iron nails. The metal band is held circular by a rivet.
