Description

Steam-bent maple bands secured in elliptical shape with copper tacks through four swallow tails on box, one one lid. White pine top and bottom headers held by copper shoe pegs. Box (a), lid (b). Painted red. Approximates a #2 box in eleven box series.

Originally owned by Sister Emma J. Neale, who used it as a sewing box.
