Description

Pine box, sides butted and nailed with two maple stiles at front rabbeted and form door stops butted to sides. Frame and panel door, mortised and turned and pinned, hinged to right maple stile. Door has turned maple knob. Iron butt hinges. No door catch. Door painted dark brown; rest of exterior, except bottom, has red wash. "Ash Prickly Bark" is written in chalk on the underside, but as the bottom is the only exterior surface not washed or painted, this may indicate that wood used for the bottom was recycled.
