Pine lidded box covered with black leather edged with brass upholstery tacks. Lock on front with japanned lock plate surrounded with a line of tacks. Brass handle in center of top. Hinges concealed. "J. W." spelled with tacks on the lid. The case is locked, and there is no key present.
