Tin-plated sheet metal cut and bent to shape for semicircular scoop. Back plate crimped on and riveted at top (later, probably Shaker, repair also soldered joint). A round conical handle and handle attachment is soldered to the back outside. End of handle covered by a round domed cover crimped and soldered to end of handle.
