Description

The blade of the awl is 1" long and has a diamond cross-section. The blade is set into a turned wooden handle. The joint is reinforced by a long conical metal ferrule 1 1/8". The ferrule has a seam down one side. The body of the handle is bulbous and tapers to a neck and forms a mushroom-shaped base. The handle has remnants of black paint from the widest point to the butt of the handle.
