Description

A breakdown basket mold of white pine with a hickory support/handle inserted into the bottom of the square center section of the mold. The square center section had a tapered dovetail nailed to each face, a corresponding piece of wood was dovetail dadoed to slide onto each center face, and the entire unit was turned to a pear shape between centers. Stop moldings were then nailed onto the center section just below the bottom of the actual mold and the between-centers turned handle inserted. Stop moldings and mold sections labeled for correct assembly.
