Black cotton bonnet, Mount Lebanon, NY
Description
Black cloth bonnet that has a stitched diamond pattern to simulate quilting. Front border of bonnet is vertical stitching creating eight rows. Bonnet has flounce of same material that is attached along the entire bottom edge and about 4 3/4" long. Stitching on flounce is elongated "zig-zags". Interior is lined with olive green in simulated quilt style, as is the reverse side of flounce. Bonnet ties attached on the underside of flounce, silk green/gray ribbon 1 1/2" wide and 15" long.
