Description
Steam-bent maple box and lid bands secured with copper tacks, four swallowtails on box (a), one on lid (b); white pine headers held by copper shoe pegs. Clear-coated, natural finish; originally painted or washed yellow, but it has been stripped or faded. Paper label attached to the lid rim on the side opposite the swallowtails; no text legible. Approximates a #2 box in the 11 box series.
