Iron, Seat
Shoulder stick, Sabbathday Lake, ME
Description
Wooden shoulder stick with an edge iron at one end. The ends of one side are cut down and rounded off in differing heights and widths, creating a protruding piece of wood. This makes up the edge iron end of the shoulder stick. The sides continue, with the edges being cut off to create a hexagonal shape where the shaft meets a quarter-circle, foot-like shape. The sides increase in size so that the "foot" is wider and longer than the shaft on all sides. The flatter portion of the "foot" also has its edges cut off.
