Oval box painted yellow, Church Family, Mount Lebanon, NY
Description
Steam-bent maple oval box (a) and lid (b) rims secured in an elliptical shape by copper tacks through swallow-tails. Four swallow-tails on the box, and one on the lid. White pine top and bottom headers held by copper points. Painted yellow. Approximates a #2 box in the 11-box series. A shadow on the box end opposite the direction the swallow-tails are pointing, rectangular in shape, where some sort of label was attached.
