Description
Lower half of a large block and tackle. Block is constructed of chestnut and oak held together with iron nuts and bolts and bound in a heavy, forged iron band which houses an iron and axle on which the two pulleys rotate. A heavy iron eye is secured through the top of this band while the bottom of the band extends below the block and forms a "U" onto which a forged hook with eye is secured.
