Rectangular black ash splint basket with split rim, single lashing, and half-round rim. Sides and base plain woven; base open weave. Uprights 1/2" - 1 1/8" wide; weavers 3/8" wide. Two 23 1/2" long cleats secured to the base with nails. 5/8" wide double grip "ear" handles, double notched, secured to the exterior.
