Description

Temple of cherry with maple turn-button to keep temple from pivoting on adjustment pin. Temple originally had points inserted into ends but at some point sheet steel plates were screwed to underside of ends and their leading edges cut and filed to produce points on half their widths (?). Used to maintain uniform selvage width in cloth weaving. Scribed at adjustment holes.
