Notes

Purportedly made from a dress worn by Mother Ann Lee. A note handwritten on lined paper that accompanied the piece reads, "This little bag was made from a piece of Mother Ann's gown, spun and woven over a hundred years ago. Was presented by Sister Sarah Bates, an aged sister of the Church Family, Mt. Lebanon, given to Mary Dixon of Second Family, some 25 years since. In 1886 presented to Br. Louis Basting, also of Second Family by M.D."
