Description

Portable desk with slant top that hinges for access into desk. Gallery at the back of the slant lid also has a hinged top for access into the storage gallery. Both lids are hinged with brass butt hinges and secured with flat head wood screws (steel in base, brass in gallery). Half-mortise brass lock in base, half-mortise steel lock in gallery; no catches or keys. All corners secured by dovetails. Both lids have stopped round-overs on three sides. Entire desk is of white pine with visible surfaces painted pumpkin.
