Description

Small, square-to-round basket form made of white pine. Turned between-centers with a 7/16" x 1 1/4" spigot on the bottom with a 5/8" hole for support. Actual basket mold portion 1 3/4" x 1 5/16" with round-over beginning at 13/16" above the bottom of the 1 3/4" section which ends at 1 1/4". 1" square scribed on the top, and the sides are chamfered, and the top dished out.

Notes

The unfinished kitten-head basket labeled "prop" on this mold was woven by Gerrie Kennedy on this mold for the exhibition "Woven in the Spirit", at the Berkshire Museum (Feb - July 1996).
