Coopered barrel with lid. Barrel tapers upward and is held by three iron or steel hoops. Lid is a flat disk surrounded by a steam-bent band that fits over rim of barrel. Staves, bottom and lid are pine, steam-bent band is ash or chestnut. The exterior is painted dull red, over yellow. The underside is still yellow. Interior is unfinished.
