Description

Cast/machined steel components. Gauge consists of a bar with an integral, fixed leg 4" in from end; a between-centers turned maple handle with an iron or steel ferrule is affixed to this bar 9" from the leg at the other end. Moveable legs are in place between fixed leg and handle and between fixed leg and open end. These legs can be locked in place sing their thumbscrews which apply pressure to steel pads that press down on the top of the bar. One side of the rectangular bar has an inch scale crudely scratched onto it.
