Description

Sled of wood and iron. Runners are steam-bent and clad on most of top and all of bottom with iron strap. Platform supports, cleats, and platform itself of ash, as is the handle. An ash (?) frame with a round hole in center accepts the bottom of a ten gallon milk can. Forged iron supports bolted to this frame hold a semi-circular shaped strap of iron which fits around back of milk can and a length of chain hooks around the front to hold the can in place. Sled was originally painted red.
