Wrought iron stove tongs with bean-shaped pads at working end for gripping, tapered cylindrical arms, and a circular swivel joint at handle end consisting of a flattened circular disk at end of each arm that is cut to accept disk of other arm, and two-washer-like disks that fit over a center rivet (the axle) which is peened over each cap disk to secure the assembly.
