Description
Built-in consists of two sections, a cupboard-on-chest on left (a) and a cupboard-on-cupboard (b) on right. Cupboard-on-chest is 39" wide, and has 26 3/4" high cupboard and a 56 5/8" high chest with four half-drawers and five full-width drawers. Cupboard has one shelf. Cupboard-on-cupboard has 46 1/4" high. Cupboard with three shelves over a 35 9/16" high cupboard with two shelves. The color of these two units are slightly different. Built-in carcass of white pine, as are door rails, stiles, and panels. All doors are faux-grained as well. Doors are through-mortised and door joints, on cupboard-on-chest are pinned. Doors are hinged with iron or steel butts and latched by spring loaded brass latches with wood knobs. Drawer rails and stiles on chest are mortised and tenoned and pinned. All drawers are dovetailed, pine sides, backs and bottoms with basswood fronts. Exterior has yellow paint or wash, interior has red wash. Drawer knobs turned from wood. Drawers are lipped.
