Description

Woven straw bonnet with seams at rim and between sides and crown that are 1/4" wide and of dissimilar weave. Rounded crown with pale green silk flounce that has a decorative green hem-stitching. Flounce is attached to bonnet for 10 3/4"; the front 1 3/4" on either side of flounce is unpleated, the remainder is tightly pleated. Black mesh was sewn in top hem of flounce and overlaid flounce originally. Lined with mauve transparent silk on sides, interior back seam has black polka-dotted mesh 1/2". Lime green silk fabric seam 1/2" wide, interior between sides and crown.
