Finely turned and finished wood with open steel thimble. Finely turned and finished base and center spindle with two rows of small wood rods, tip-turned, set outward from center spindle. Rods are approximately 1 3/4" high x 3/16" in diameter. Center spindle holds open ended. Base is face-turned cherry, standard/thimble holder, between-centers turned cherry, 14 spool spindles, which are between-centers turned beech.
