Platform

Description

Well-made platform of tulip poplar (Liriodendron tulipifera) with four maple turnings. Base consists of heavy stock (bottom 1 3/32" thick, top and ends 1 3/16" thick) with ends 4 3/4" wide dovetailed to the top and bottom. Four turned maple supports are mortised into the base top and into the top board of the platform (also 1 3/16" thick but heavily chamfered on underside). Overall base dimensions: 4 3/4" x 14 1/16" x 27 9/16". Top is 4 1/4" above base and is 15 9/16" wide x 20 11/16" long.
