Steam-bent ash bands with feathered and overlapped ends forming cylinders. Overlap on measure (a) secured by six iron tacks along outside end and three more from outside through middle of overlap. Lid (b) band overlap held by three tacks at end and one on middle. Maple top and bottom secured with wooden shoe pegs. Exterior surfaces, except the base, washed red.
