Description

Coopered bucket with pine staves and bottom. Originally had two wooden hoops; one hickory hoop remains, bottom one replaced with iron or steel band hoop. Hickory handle with birch lugs for attachment. Tab on side of pail where handle attaches has been repaired/reinforced with sheet metal. Outside painted yellow, inside painted red, then yellow. Lower 2/3 of sides and bottom have no paint left on inside. Handle and lugs do not appear to have ever been painted. Replacement iron hoop also unpained.
