Welt knife, Canterbury, NH
Description
Welt knife set into an awl haft. The blade of the knife is curved growing wider and thinner toward the cutting edge which is at the top of the knife. The cutting edge is 1/4" long with a protruding guard on one side. The knife is set into an awl haft and has split the metal ferrule, which reinforces the joint. The haft is turned and has two turn lines just before its widest section. After the haft reaches its widest point it tapers into a neck and expands into a rounded-disk form.
