Description

(a) articulated doll with ceramic head and arms (from elbow down). Body stuffed with sawdust and covered with white leather and (from knee down) cotton fabric. Metal pins at joints. Blonde hair, blue open and close eyes. Clothing: (b) gray wool dress with bertha (c), white cotton pantaloons (d), chemise (e) and petticoat (f), all with pink silk ties; black cotton net socks (g,h), black rubber mary jane shoes (i,j), bonnet.

Notes

Doll was dressed by Sister Jennie Wells using Shaker woven fabric for dress material.
