Pin vise-like object consisting of a piece of birch with a longitudinal saw kerf which stops 3" from end and a hickory screw 5/16" diameter inserted into a hole through birch piece, the back half (beyond saw kerf) of which is tapped. By tightening the screw, the saw kerf closes, creating a vise.
