Steam-bent maple box (a) and lid (b) rims, and a swing handle. Three swallow-tails on the box rim and one on the lid, secured with copper tacks. 1/4" plywood headers held in place with large copper tacks. Handle swings on trunk rivets peened over copper burrs on the interior. Lid clearance provided by additional copper burrs between the handle and carrier. Varnished natural wood.
