Oval box with maple veneer bands, white pine top and bottom headers, swallowtails (3 on box, one on lid), secured by copper tacks and headers held by copper "points" or shoe pegs. Box originally painted red, and then stripped and finished natural. Clear-coated with gloss varnish.
