Candlestand of black-stained, diffuse-porous wood (cherry? maple?). Round top with chamfer on underside of rim, wide cleat holding pedestal screwed to underside, turned pedestal, four feet secured to pedestal with running dovetails. Entire piece heavily varnished which is degraded, especially on top.
