Description

One of a group of nine quills (hollow, spindle-like devices) upon which was wound thread. The quills were then installed in loom shuttles and the thread became the weft of the weaving. Made by rolled up paper (outside bears repeated ink script Ys, inside blank) into a cylinder and held with glue.
