Turned (probably between-centers with face grain orientation) kitten-head basket mold made of white pine. Top carved to a square and the surface relieved. There is a 11/16" hole drilled blind in the center of the bottom. Layers of kid leather or skiver glued around the sides, and brown paper onto the top. Some plugs visible in the top corner where paper has peeled away.
