Description

Workbench with heavy top of beech and maple. Two vises; side vise has maple jaw and screw, tail vise has red maple top and side, maple screw and a hickory handle. Side vise hickory handle is a replacement. Undercarriage ends are frame and panel construction with the front face frame, drawer supports, and back of white pine. A frame and panel door of white pine encloses a cupboard at the proper left end. Two banks of four drawers each occupy the proper right end. Drawers have white pine fronts, backs, and bottoms. The sides are of basswood. A single turned maple knob is centered in each drawer front. Drawers are dovetailed.
