Description
Steam-bent maple box (a) and lid (b) rims, and white pine headers. Two swallow-tails on the box and one on the lid, all secured with small wooden pegs. In addition, the tips of the swallowtails are inserted through slits in the box wall and glued in place. Headers held by wooden pegs as well. Painted dark green which was probably applied over an earlier paint, since the side opposite the swallowtails shows squiggly vertical lines when viewed obliquely.
