A finely dovetailed rectangular box of eastern red cedar with an applied bottom of the same wood attached with steel wire nails or brads. A thin steam-bent hickory swing handle is attached to the center of each side about 3/4" below the top rim with brass decorative head tacks which penetrate a copper burr, the handle, and the side and are clinched on the inside. No discernible finish.
