Notes

See photograph 1950.4004.1, which shows the Mount Lebanon Meetinghouse interior and rows of these chairs. They were connected by a wood beam that attached to the inside of the rear back rails under the seat. On August 21, 1887, a deaconess' journal notes, "We have a new arrangement for the Meeting House. Instead of benches, we have chairs made at South Family. Four chairs are fastened together." See 1957.8853.1 for this journal.
