Description

Tinsmith's work station consisting of (a) a maple tray with fixtures, (b) a hollow cast iron sphere with two holes to fit over a cast iron tapered post screwed to tray. Fixtures include a cast iron post with an arc segment (open upwards) at the top and a square tapered tang at the bottom which is inserted through the maple tray itself terminating in an iron washer set into the underside of the tray. This serves to hold the soldering iron. Other fixtures include the tapered iron post that holds the hollow iron sphere, a brass, hemispherical bowl screwed to the tray bottom, and an iron heat shield nailed to the tray bottom.
