Pine chest with front and back butted to ends and nailed. Bottom nailed on. Ends arched and top bent to fit arch. Lid sawn off after assembly. Japanned handles and heart-shaped plates screwed to ends and an iron and brass lock and catch screwed to front. Exterior, except bottom, painted red. Interior lined with wallpaper (over broadsides used earlier).
