Pail painted yellow, brown, and white, Mount Lebanon, NY
Description
Coopered pail with pine staves and bottom, two iron hoops, steam-bent hickory handle, and turned maple attachment lugs. One lug reversed and secured with a flat-head wood screw. Other lug retains original carved hardwood peg. Painted white on inside and yellow outside including underside of bottom. Outside repainted brown later but not underside of bottom. Top quarter of staves on inside also painted brown.
