Steam-bent maple box (a) and lid (b) rims. Four swallow-tails on the box, and one on the lid, secured with copper tacks. White pine headers held by copper points. Steam-bent ash swing handle secured by copper rivets spaced out for lid clearance with square machine nuts and which are peened over copper burrs on the interior. Probably washed with yellow and varnished over.
