Oval box follower form. Ellipse of white pine with square edge and a 7/8" diameter vent hole drilled near either end. May have been made from a piece of flooring; one side is age darkened, scratched, and with accretions, other side is fresher looking. Pencil lines across clean face near ends that appear to predate fabrication of follower.
