Description

A commercially manufactured timber-frames boring machine of beech and iron for mortising timbers. Machine has slotted areas on either side allowing for boring of holes other than perpendicular. Top cross-piece is of red oak and appears to be a replacement. Iron catch to hold boring mechanism at top is with machine but was never attached to cross-piece.
