Description

Unfinished pine box with oak corner posts to which sides are nailed. Single board bottom nailed on to sides while single board lid in hinged with a strip of leather. Lid has two oak cleats with pine rails nailed to them (to support brim of hat?). Box has pine blocks clinch nailed to each side inside with maple pegs tenoned through blocks and box sides (for hats/bonnets?).

Notes

Probably a hat or bonnet box for traveling.
