Description
Spinning wheel for winding bobbins with ash (probably) beam, head support post, wheel support post and steam-bent wheel rim; legs, handle, wheel hub and spokes (12) probably maple; iron or steel wheel axle. One spoke has bulb about 2/3 distance from rim to hub with a hole (blind) into which a turned maple knob is inserted but it does not appear to be original to wheel. Appears to have originally been painted yellow. Fitted with head 1950.3617.1.
