A strange knob consisting of a face-turned disk glued to a between-centers turned neck and base which is drilled and tapped to accept a threaded tenon, 3/8" diameter. Disk is probably mahogany, neck and base is a very soft, diffuse porous exotic wood and the threaded tenon is hickory. No discernible finish.
